We wish to promote our business mainly through your referrals, so your satisfaction is paramount with Charles Eagan Photography.

We employ the following steps to ensure a successful session and also make the following promises:

1. Equipment Failure. We carry redundant equipment, two or more cameras, multiple film backs and two digital backs. We always carry extra batteries and an abundant supply of film.

2. Exposure and Lighting. We ensure proper lighting with strobe and flash units. We test exposure levels digitally for you to preview photos on-the-spot.

3. Processing Failure. Most photos are taken digitally.  We use more than one interchangeable digital back.  Photos are captured on either laptop drives or SanDisk cards.  For film processing, we develop our film through a well known photo lab that has been servicing professional photographers for many years. So far, I have had 100% successful development of negatives with this lab.

4. Storage.  Your digital photos are first captured to a laptop or SanDisk cards, then immediately copied to a second drive after the photo session and backed up to a third drive, after post-processing your photos are copied off-site to a web-server.  Negative images are sent out for development and scanned digitally, so you will have both available for storage on the web-server and locally.

5. Bad Image Manipulation  You've seen it before, strange photos where something does not look right, over-use of Photoshop techniques, etc.  When it comes to photo manipulation, I believe less is more.  Your photo collection will always contain high resolution 16 bit TIFF photos with only exposure level manipulation. Then, from there you will have secondary, slightly manipulated JPG photos (to remove skin blemishes or distracting background items).  Additionally, you may have romanticized photos (sepia tones, diffusion blurs, etc.), but they will be separated from the rest for your approval.  So it's your choice how much manipulation you want in your photos.  I have many years experience working with graphic software on a professional level.  I am very aware of their strengths and weaknesses.

6. No show. Barring an un-foreseen disabling accident, my personal promise is to arrive at your photo session on time. I will, most likely, arrive early. For weddings, I only book one per day so I will not disappear at the reception.
