The Huppa was an interesting item, but it posed another obstacle for getting good shots, so I tried to find the best angle.  I move up to a stage behind the bride and groom which provided a nice angle.  The ceremony is a challenge because you have to negotiate a good angle while not trying to create too much of a distraction.  So I try to move slow and easy.  The stage below me seemed a bit unstable, so I had to step easy and carefully, one eye through my view-finder the other looking down at my feet.

So I maneuver around trying to time myself with the events of the reading of the vows, the breaking of the glass and the mixing of sand (that one I had never heard of before).  So I burned through about three rolls of film, reloading once.  I am quite faster now at reloading 120mm film.  The bride and groom exit and the reception begins.

Now I have a little breathing room, so I switch back to the digital back and try to take volumes of digital photos and save the remaining negative film.  I am still experiencing problems with the back disconnecting from the laptop and requiring me to reset it.  I am not sure if it is the laptop or the back, but I am considering buying a new imac G4 to test it.  My next purchase will be either a new Leaf Aptus 65 or the Mamiya ZD camera.  Although the pictures look great with the Leaf Valeo, it is not a portable solution, even though I have tried.  If only it did not disconnect so often, it might have been manageable.  At the very end of the event, I went through my last roll of film and my lap-top battery was done.  So that all worked out well, I used about five rolls of 120 film, took about 250 digital photos.

Now I have reviewed and post-processed some of the photos and they look great.  The negatives should arrive tomorrow with the scanned digital files.

All-in-all, the game plan worked well.  For this session, I would have liked more time with the Bride alone as well as the Bride and Groom.

You will be able to see selected photos from My Portfolio shortly.
